I was a farmer out in the countryside before the war, it was peaceful and lonely but I enjoyed it like that. The military base was nearby and I always had fear of my house being raided by them for some reason but I do not know why. I had a small farm at the time it consisted of animals and crops, I had a bunch of pigs and cows and lots of crops from carrots to turnips.
The day the war started I woke up hearing tracks rolling and footsteps, I quickly got up and undrawn the curtains to see the military rolling passed my house with everything like tanks, troops and even aircraft. I went outside to take a look and I saw what seemed to be a massive portal in the sky, I was worried but I carried on with my farming duties anyway. The day was quiet nothing went into the portal or burst out of it.
Later in the evening I was finishing up in the farm, suddenly I saw a gunship and a few drop ships burst out of the portal and I started hearing shots. The gunships stayed high up in the sky while the drop ships rained down to the ground, After the drop ships went back into the portal the gunships begun to fire on the military troops. Shortly after the air raid siren went off indicating we were to leave immediately, I packed as much as I could and I got into my car and drove off... I went around the corner until I was stopped to see a military roadblock, they were checking papers and were heavily armed. I was worried soon I gave them my passport and it was good I drove off to see another portal above a city...
